PTFE lined pipes and fittings

The product range includes PTFE-coated carbon steel pipes and fittings in various designs, from DN 15 to DN 600, with standard lengths up to 3 metres and extended pipe lengths up to 6 metres. The products can withstand continuous operating temperatures from -29°C to +260°C, but under certain conditions these limits can be exceeded for a short time.

In standard versions (PN10/16 - ANSI 150) at room temperature, the products can be used in applications up to a pressure of 13 bar. For higher pressures, versions in PN 25 and PN 40 are available on request. In addition, the installation components have high resistance to vacuum conditions, with special versions for absolute vacuum applications.

The unique properties of the PTFE material used in the products make them suitable for use in almost all types of fluid media, including highly aggressive substances such as hydrochloric acid, hydrofluoric acid, nitric acid and oleum (fuming sulphuric acid). However, PTFE is not recommended for use with alkali metals, chlorine trifluoride or elemental fluorine at high temperatures and pressures.

Compensators

Compensators are usually inserted elements that absorb vibrations and expansions caused by the continuous work of piping systems for liquids and gases. Pipelines are subject to expansions due to different temperatures, pressures, external movements and the weight of the pipeline itself. If strength and movement exceed acceptable limits, joints must be used, as they allow thermal expansions to be absorbed. A wide range of products is available, where different materials and couplings can meet all needs. Expansion joints are available in rubber, PTFE, steel, machined or flanged joints.

PTFE lined compensators

Expansion joints are manufactured using the most innovative techniques from semi-finished parts and raw materials of exceptional quality. They are intended for use in axial and vertical expansion under demanding temperature conditions (-30°C to +220°C), in the presence of aggressive acids or vapours, and for food products. ANSI or DIN flanges allow connections according to international standards, and steel reinforcement rings are used in PTFE expansion joints to withstand high pressures, taking into account the plastic material of which the product is made.

Rubber compensators

Rubber is used to withstand stress caused by working pressure and operation at high temperatures. They are internally reinforced with several layers of textile fibres and stainless steel wire, carefully woven and vulcanised, creating a resilient yet highly durable body. The body is shaped with a wave-shaped single wide profile, and its outer surface is protected by an additional layer of waterproof rubber sheathing that protects from external influences. The inner edge of each sequence is reinforced with a core of high-strength stainless steel wires to increase the maximum operating pressure and ensure a good seal at the flange faces. If correctly positioned, the seal is ensured and no slippage from the flange occurs.
