Alloy 600 is a nickel-chromium-iron alloy with good mechanical properties at both low room- and elevated temperatures, very good resistance to stress corrosion cracking even at elevated temperatures. Used in e.g. nuclear reactors for parts such as control-rod channels, reactor tanks, seals, steam dryer tumblers and separators in boiling water reactors.
