application
A 12-14% manganese steel with excellent wear properties! Diamond 14 S® combines the best possible wear resistance with preserved formability. For structures subject to impact and shock, whereby the hardness of the material increases as a result of cold working to approximately HB 700. The steel resists deformation and is therefore very useful in various types of structures for civil protection. For example, protection against handguns in banks, police stations, armouries, shooting ranges, prisons, etc. Diamond 14S is also very difficult to drill and is therefore also used as drill protection in safes, weapons cabinets and security doors. Other applications are parts that are subject to extreme wear, such as blasting machines, mining carts, crushers, mineral pockets, sieves, mixing baths, buckets, etc.
