application
Simple pressure vessel grade for the manufacture of tanks and vessels with working temperature up to about 500°C.
P355NH is a normalised pressure vessel steel designed for use in pressure vessel applications with elevated temperatures. The name belongs to the EN (European Norm) system where "P" stands for "Pressure". The number "355" indicates the minimum yield strength in megapascals (MPa). However, this depends on the dimension or thickness and may vary. "NH" means that it is normalised and intended for elevated temperatures. P355NH has a working temperature up to about 400°C, good formability in both hot and cold conditions and good weldability. It is mainly used in the construction of pressure vessels and boilers for various industries, such as oil and gas, petrochemical and power generation.
