TBL steel is a fine-grained boron-alloyed special structural steel developed by Thyssenkrupp.
Hardenable, fine-grained, boron steel for applications requiring high wear resistance. TBL steel is alloyed with boron, which significantly improves hardenability. Good wear properties even without hardening due to its microstructure. The steel also has excellent machinability, good weldability and a long service life.
TBL steel is a versatile material that combines good machinability with high wear resistance, making it particularly suitable for wear parts for agricultural and construction machinery such as harrows and ploughs.
