56Si7 (55Si7) is a high carbon silicon-manganese spring steel. The carbon content is around 0.52 - 0.60 %. The steel also contains silicon (Si) and manganese (Mn), the addition of silicon and manganese improves the hardenability and strength of the steel. More flexible than 51CrV4. Used for various springs with medium stresses such as motor vehicle leaf springs, coil springs, spring washers, disc springs and other mechanical components requiring high strength and elasticity... Working temperature from - 40 to 150°C.
