Alloy 600 is a nickel-chromium-iron alloy with good mechanical properties at both low and elevated temperatures, very good resistance to stress corrosion cracking even at elevated temperatures. Used in nuclear reactors for parts such as control rod channels, reactor tanks and seals, steam dryers and separators in boiling water reactors.
