S235JR is a low alloy structural steel for use in structures with lower strength requirements. Used in various industries for its good mechanical properties and versatility. S235JR: "S" stands for structural steel, "235" indicates the minimum yield strength in megapascals (MPa), however, this depends on dimension or thickness and may vary and "R" indicates that the steel has been impact tested at 20°C.
