100Cr6 is an alloy steel with a carbon content of about 0.95-1.05% and a chromium content of about 1.3-1.6%. The high carbon and chromium content gives 100Cr6 excellent resistance to wear and abrasion, making it ideal for applications subject to sliding or rolling abrasion.Good toughness and good tempering stability with little deformation during heat treatment. Due to the high carbon content, the material is not weldable.100Cr6 is widely used in the manufacture of precision ball bearings, roller bearings and other bearing components. It is also used in the manufacture of various mechanical parts and tools that require high hardness and wear resistance.
