S355J2+N is a high strength, low alloy structural steel widely used in various industries for its good mechanical properties and versatility. S355J2: "S" stands for structural steel, "355" indicates the minimum yield strength in megapascals (MPa), however this depends on the dimension or thickness and can vary and "J2" indicates that the steel has been impact tested at -20°C. "+N" means that the steel has been normalised. S355J2+N steel is primarily used in structural, engineering and construction applications due to its combination of strength, toughness, weldability, bendability and machinability.
