High strength structural steel with good welding properties designed for use in demanding, load-bearing structures such as cranes, bridges, offshore platforms and mining equipment. The "S" in S690QL stands for structural steel, while the numerical value "690" indicates the minimum yield strength in megapascals (MPa). Used in applications such as dump trucks, bridge structures, tanks, mining and excavation equipment and agricultural machinery.Impact tested at -40°C. (S690QL1 is impact tested at -60°C.).
