P235GH TC2 is a non-alloy pressure vessel steel commonly used for pressure vessel applications in the oil, gas and petrochemical industries. It is designed to withstand high temperatures and pressures, making it suitable for various industrial processes involving liquids and gases.P235GH is the material designation according to the EN (European Norm) system. The "P" stands for "Pressure" and the number "235" indicates the minimum yield strength in megapascals (MPa). In this case, P235GH has a minimum yield strength of 235 MPa.TC2 stands for "Test Category 2" which means that the material has undergone specific non-destructive tests during manufacture to ensure its suitability for pressure vessel applications. TC2 material is subjected to various tests such as ultrasonic testing, X-ray examination and visual inspection to ensure its quality. At TC2, there has been an additional longitudinal ultrasonic test. 16Mo3 pipe always has this test so it can mostly replace P235GH TC2.The combination of strength, weldability and thermal stability makes P235GH TC2 a commonly used material for various pressure vessel components.
